Richard Lee Oreair Sr. was born October 12,1923 in California. He proudly served in the Navy as a fighter pilot in World War II. After marrying he left the military and he moved to Jacksonville Fl. RLO Sr. stayed in the Reserve Navy as a Commander of VP 741 until the mid 1960’s. Upon moving to Jacksonville, he worked for several electrical contractors from 1947 thru 1954. In 1955 he started Richard L. Oreair & Company as a small electrical contracting operation. The original shop was on 3325 Pearl Street until 1969 when construction finished on our current location. From 1955 to 1994 Rick Sr. ran the business until his son, Richard L. Oreair Jr. took over. Richard Sr. always believed in quality service to our customers. He coined the phrase “Quality doesn’t cost, it pays!” His many years of leadership gave us the momentum that has brought us to our current success.
